Alden’s longwing shoe has been an extremely popular model recently and rightfully so. The American “gunboat” is an obvious classic.

Our Alden shortwing model has been just as popular for us. Our latest rendition is in black shell cordovan. With it’s regular welt and sharper shape, the shortwing is a nice alternative and makes for a more versatile shoe in our opinion.

    Hey Tom,

    I’m loving those shortwings more and more. Can’t wait to see one in CXL 🙂 And to take a cue from the LWB, how do you think these would look in brown alpine grain?

    I have long been looking for the right black cordovan Alden pair to buy. This is it.

    The shortwing pattern and regular welt make it more “dressier,” so it goes very well with suits. This would also look great with dark denim, etc.
