With the extreme popularity of Alden’s plantation crepe sole on a few of our recent models, we are glad to have these Alden Wing Tips w/Crepe Sole on the Grant Last arrive.
Brown Scotch Grain Calfskin is a perfect match for this country blucher.
Burgundy Color #8 Shell Cordovan dresses it up a bit, but would still look very sharp with your favorite jeans.
SOLD OUT!

How is the Grant last different from the Barrie? Also, how does a double sole crepe shoe wear?
Steve,
Thank you for the comment. The Grant seems to be just as long as the Barrie but slightly narrower. The crepe sole is very comfortable, but most likely not the most durable if you are doing a lot of walking on hot pavements.
Aloha,
Tom
Hello Tom,
Leather Soul has hit another home run with these exclusive Alden models. I spoke to Matt via telephone and he has set aside a pair of the Shells in addition to the scotch grain wings for my visit in a couple of weeks. (I hope you have a wide shell belt in 36 to go with them!)
An added comment to Steve. The Alden crepe sole is not the same animal that we’ve seen for years on Clarks Desert Boots. It’s much more dense and wears much longer. (In my opinion) I have a pair of 947’s with the crepe sole and they continue to wear quite well.
Best wishes,
Bill Woodward

Thanks for the comment Bill. Looking forward to meeting you here in Hawaii later this month!

Tom,
Do you have an 11D available?
Thanks
Ed
Ed,
Yes, I have 11D available in both brown grain and #8 shell.
Aloha!
Tom
Regarding the crepe soles, they wear great. I have two pairs of Aldens with the crepe sole, one of which I got done through the Alden refurb program, and the other I got done at a high end shoe repair place (they did not need refurbing, I just wanted crepe). I have two other pairs of crepe soled shoes as well. I have found them to be hard wearing, incredibly comfortable, and totally fine for wearing with suit.
I am down to one pair remaining pair of leather-soled treads–a pair of Church cap toes. And I plan to switch all my dainite soles over to crepe.
Bob,
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate your input!

Tom,
Do you have a 101/2 d in the Brown Scotch Grain Calfskin? I think that would be my size. What do you think? I’m a 10 1/2 d in the Indy boot. Are these casual enough to be dressed down with jeans / khakis?
Alex
Alex,
Yes, we do have 10.5D. Most people do take the same size as their Trubalance size. I really do think they will look great with jeans and khakis. Perfect in fact. If you would like to order a pair, please let me know!
Aloha,
Tom
Do you carry a belt in the same color and style as the Brown Scotch Grain Calfskin Wingtip? Love the shoe but don’t have a belt to wear with them.
Chris,
Glad you like the wingtips. Unfortunately, we do not have a belt that matches exactly.
I wouldn’t be hesitant to wear a regular brown belt (non-grain) however.
Aloha,
Tom
Tom – these look great – is the price listed the sale price? Do you also have the Cordovan in an 11D?

Bruce
