Extra soft Black or Burgundy Calf along with Alden’s Flex-Welt construction and heavily oiled sole, make this “everyday” shoe, our most comfortable offering to date.
Soft tumbled lady calf wraps around your feet like a glove, giving you the feeling of a well broken in pair of your favorite shoes.
Alden’s oiled flex leather sole is not only more durable than your standard leather sole, it keeps water out and is more comfortable for those long walks on hard pavement.

The only way I can live with the fact that I missed out on pairs of these in each color is knowing I will be included on all of your future custom versions. Alden would do very well to have you as a marketing consultant. These are old school classics that will never be behind the times.
Any chance I could still get in on a pair of the shell versions in my C width?

Are all of the cordovans already spoken for, and are you getting classic cordovan only or also black shell? Probable interest in an 11D.

Thanks for the comment. We do have about 50 pairs coming in both #8 and Black, but unfortunately the 11Ds are spoken for. I have another shipment on order as well and would be happy to hold a pair for you but it would be quite some time before they arrived, probably around Winter time.

I notice that you are moving several models from the Leydon to the Hampton last. The difference is not evident to me from the pictures. Could you describe the difference for us and explain why you are changing?

Thank you for the comment. The Hampton last seems to have a nicer, more elegant shape to it. Also, we’ve been making our V-Tips on the Leydon for a few years now so we thought it was time for a change. After seeing the first few models, we’re happy with the decision. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I was searching your website looking for what you may have in the Alden leydon last. I purchased a pair of your hawaian stomper that fit great and so comfortable. I am looking for a dressier shoe and read about these. How does the Hampton last compare to the leydon? The barrie last does not fit my foot as well, even sizing down. I did just purchase a a shoe on the van last and it fits well. Thanks for your attention.

Sorry, we don’t have your size. It would need to be a special order. We currently only stock and reorder the Barrie version in shell cordovan though.
