Edward Green – Warwick in Dark Oak

Waikiki

In our opinion, the chukka boot is one of the most versatile shoes a man could own. Edward Green’s Warwick, is a stunning example.

Dark oak antique leather coupled with the 888 last and HAF soles (double leather soles that taper to a single leather sole waist) make this chukka stunning to admire and very much wearable with a tailored suit as well as your favorite pair of worn in jeans.

  1. That is one good looking pair of boots!

    Thanks Tom.

  2. The boots are amazing. Best pair that I own, and I concur with your description that you can wear them with anything (and I have). The HAF sole is particularly interesting and I think that it gives the shoe the durability necessary in a pair of boots but the elegance of a dress shoe at the waist. Since EG doesn’t advertise it, I wouldn’t have known about the sole without your recommendation. Thanks for your help in designing them.

    Best,
    Eric

  3. Glad to hear Eric. Thank you again and let me know if you need anything in the future.

  6. Tom,
do you have the boots in 10.5/11E?

    • EG,

Sorry, we are sold out. I would be more than happy to help you with an order though. Please let me know if you are interested.

      Aloha,

      Tom

  7. Tom,

Just wondering if this is still a shoe you carry or that EG still makes, and if so, how does sizing of the 888 last compare to the size 7 in the 82 last?

    Thx,

    Darrell

  8. Sorry Tom, I gave you the wrong info. I just looked at my EG shoe that I ordered from you and it is a 6 1/2 E on the 82 last. How does that translate over to the 888 last? Also, is that 888 last a square toe that will look similar to to toe on my AC Chow? I really like that chiseled toe.

  9. Darrell,

Sorry, I should have double checked myself. I would recommend the same size which we don’t currently have in stock unfortunately. Yes, the 888 would have a similar look to your ACs. It’s a great chiseled square toe. If you would like to order a pair please let me know but it will unfortunately be a 4 month wait which may be perfect timing for some Fall/Winter wear.

    Aloha,

    Tom

  10. Tom,

I think I would like to order a pair then (unless Cleverley makes a Chukka that looks as good as this shoe?) Perfect for fall. I want to make sure I get the right size though. My Downing in the 6 1/2 E is unlined. Will that make a difference for the sizing with regard to this shoe? I think Bryan and I also determined that for a tie shoe, a 7E in the AC line is the right size for me even though my Chow is a 6 1/2 E (As I told Bryan, I would love just a bit more room in the toe box of my Chow but he felt I shouldn’t really go with the 7E in the Chow because of the elastic hidden under the buckle. He also thinks we have about the same size foot since he wears a 7E in the AC line – do you know what he wears in the EG 888 shoe? That might help). I’m also a 6 1/2 D on the Alden Trubalance last and a 7 D on the Plaza last. Hope that gives you a good idea of my foot.

  11. Hi Tom, would love to get my hands on a pair of these. Never owned a pair of EG, I’m a 7E on barrie, 7.5E on AE 1, and 7EE on JL 8695 etc. Do you stock any of this 888 that may fit me? Thanks! Regit.
