I realize the Barrie last runs a size to half-size big, but what is the main difference between the Barrie and the Leydon in term of shape?

Hi there. I am writing from farther away but shoes are shoes and feet are feet. The thing with the lasts seems quite complex to me. I have alden chukkas in suede, that are kind of narrowish, and in cordovan – same size, same width. The lasts are supposed to be almost the same, but in fact they do not feel the same. Could I choose, i would take the suedes half a size bigger.

If you are talking about Alden’s stock suede chukka and shell cordovan chukkas, the lasts are different. The suede chukka (#1492/1493/1494) is on the Leydon last while the shell cordovan chukka (#1339/1340) is on the Barrie last.
