Not sure if we can even call it an Indy Boot… For our newest Leather Soul Exclusive Alden boot, we took the Indy Boot pattern and had it made on the Plaza last.
Available in burnished tan calf or burgundy color #8 shell cordovan. A hand stitched moc toe and commando sole round out the details.

I like the look of the boots, Tom. It’s amazing what a difference the last makes — which prompts me to make a suggestion: why not write a blog entry that describes each last? The entry would have a long shelf life if you linked back to it in subsequent posts.

I heard – once on the forums – about a fold out paper that Alden used to produce that diagrammed which footprint type fit each last best. Have you heard about this sheet, and do you have access to one? I’d love to see something like that.

Hmmm…I can’t remember if I saw the paper version. I know some of the older Foot Balance catalogs had those diagrams, but they were only for Foot Balance lasts, not the New England lasts.

Great looking boots! It’s almost a shame that they appeared the day after I received my #8 shell standard Indys, but I can’t complain. They live up to the hype, and I would gladly get another pair in this last. How does the Plaza compare to Trubalance in your experience, Tom_
I agree about the value of a table of lasts. It would be great if it included a matrix showing what the same foot would be in each last. If you are a 10D in a Barrie, you’re 10.5 in a Plaza, and so on.

How suitable is this boot for the wet and snowy weather in Scandinavia?

It’s about time! The Barrie and Trubalance lasts never fit me right, and most of the cool boots aren’t generally available on the Plaza, Leydon, Hampton, etc.
Are there any in the Beverly Hills shop so I can get sized and order? I’m either a 9 or 9.5. Thanks!

I normally take a 12, will a 12 fit me? Need I take a measurement? Anyway, most interested in the brown/tan plaza indie boots. Or any other Indie boots in a good, fall brown color that fits. Do all of these come with the comando sole? Cool by me.

New here and just saw this–this is a great boot! The trubalance and barrie lasts make this boot look too blobby (my opinion) so this plaza last version is perfect.
