Horween’s chromexcel leather makes for a perfect casual shoe (or chukka boot). Coupled with an antique edgetrim and double oiled leather waterlock sole, we think this chromexcel chukka can’t be beat.

    Are these even available in 13Bs (an obligatory question on behalf of all who are long and narrow footed). More specifically, is the Horween chromexcel used here identical to the chromexcel uses for its 403 Indy boots, i.e., does it have the same flat finish as represented in these photos?

    Sorry, 13B would need to be special ordered.

    Yes, this is the same Horween chromexcel that is used on the 403 Indy Boot.

    i just wanted to say thanks again! i just received my chukka;s today and they are absolutely stunning! what a beautiful design! i agree these can;t be beat! also wanted to say, it has been such a pleasure to do business with ls! i wish more companies took as much pride in doing business as you do! ken, and bryan are the best, but ken has a step up cause he sent me a ls pen… hahahaha! any ways hope you guys all had a great time at the factory, and are dreaming up some beautiful new creations

    I typically wear a 9D in Allen Edmonds, but had to order 9.5D in Alden unlined suede chukka (9d was too tight). What size would you recommend in my case?

    Hi there,

    I would like to add myself to a waiting list for this shoe, if such a thing exists. How would I do this?

    Also, I live in Tokyo, and have heard there is a 30% import tax on leather shoes. Does this also apply to imports from the US (Hawaii)? Your Japanese staff must have some experience exporting to Japan, so it would be great if someone could give me an idea what kind of duties I will have to cover when importing a pair of Alden to Japan.

      If you are interested in a preorder please send us an email at info@leathersoul.com.

      Yes, there is always a risk of having to pay customs taxes when shipping to Japan or any other country besides the US. You can expect to pay about 20-40% if your package is chosen to be checked.
