After an extremely successful limited release during our Alden trunk show at LSBH, we are happy to offer these very special color #4/black shell cordovan saddle bluchers at LSW.

Color #4 is the rarest shade of Horween shell cordovan Alden offers. We are very fortunate and thankful for the opportunity to offer these to you.

    Damn! Those look killer. Thats the first saddle shoe, designed as a blucher, that I have seen from Alden. They dont offer this in a solid cordovan as part of their standard line? If they did I’d be $600 more in debt.

    Color #4 was only available in limited quantities by the Lakota House in Japan and us. So, I would say #4 is the rarest shell available by Alden.

    Let me second the thought that a solid-color saddle blucher, perhaps on a different last, would be well received…particularly as a pre-order where I could get an E-width.

    Hi Tom,

    So you still have a cordovan #4 shell to sell as a whole. A customer of Mine bought the shoes and now wants a belt in the same color combination.

    I would very much appreciate if you could sell a shell, the price doesn’t matter too much.

      We do not sell leather. Looks like you are a belt maker in Germany? You should contact your distributor of Horween shell cordovan to purchase shell.

    By the way where did you get the information from that the Nr. 4 Shell was exclusively produced for Alden and the Lakota House?

    I know your not a leather distributor. I was just wondering where you got the information that Shell Nr 4 is the most exclusive and that it was just available for Alden and the Lakota House?

      Kevin,

      Lakota House was the first Alden account to be able to order shoes in color #4. We (Leather Soul) were the second ones back in January 2011. I am talking about Alden shoes only by the way.

      Color #4 is simply one of Horween’s colors of shell cordovan. Anyone can buy it from them as long as it’s available. You can contact Horween or the European distributor of Horween if you have any questions. We have nothing to do with selling shells, only shoes.
