As the world knows, a massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean near Northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011. Blackouts, fire, and tsunami caused major damage throughout the country.
We at Leather Soul are deeply saddened by the horrible news coming out of Japan every day.
For the period of March 11-March 31, we would like to offer a monetary donation to the Japanese Red Cross in the amount of 5% of our total sales or a minimum of $7500.
Please join us in donating what you can to help our friends in Japan.

先日の東北関東大震災発生から3日が経過しましたが、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
地震の影響でここハワイでも津波が懸念されましたが、被害はなくLeather Soulは通常通り営業しております。
被災し避難生活を強いられている方々へ心よりお見舞いを申し上げると共に、お亡くなりになられた方々のご冥福をお祈り申し上げます。
日本とは密接な関係がある我々Leather Soulにも、ハワイから何か出来ることはないかと熟慮した結果、ささやかながら日本の被災地への募金を実施することを決定しました。震災発生より月末までの売上の5％、もしくは$7,500、のいずれか多い方を日本赤十字社を通じて募金致します。
余震と厳しい寒さが続く中予断を許さない状況ですが、一人でも多くの方が救済されるようハワイより願っております。

That is a gracious gesture Tom and as we all sit and admire things like beautiful shoes it’s a glaring reminder of what’s really important. Hats off to you guys and may we all follow your lead.

Beyond sympathy alone, I believe where humanity really shows its character in its greatest form and number is in selfless compassion like that which you are demonstrating here. You continue to hold my admiration and from my family across Fukushima, you have my deep felt appreciation as well.
