It’s been over a year wait but they’re finally back in stock. For those of you who placed preorders, thank you for your patience. We will be in contact with you shortly.

Horween Chromexcel (CXL) continues to be the most popular leather for casual shoes. Two years ago, we sat down with Art Tarlow, the owner of Alden Shoe and came up with these two models, our first in natural CXL.

Both models feature a plantation crepe sole.

    Hi Tom. I bought a pair of the wingtips when they first came out at the Alden trunk show at LSBH. They have turned out to be my favorite Alden shoe. The Plantation sole has always been my favorite for comfort. The CXL has a great amount of give that makes this shoe the most comfortable pair I own. I hope that LS comes out with more Plantation/CXL combination shoes in the future. BTW Tom, I’ll be back in HNL in a couple of weeks…look forward to being in the store again and I have a couple of ideas that I’ll share with you on this combination in other models. Cheers! Will

    Hoooboy…! Gunboat superstructure over crepe hull! These should put a bounce in your step. The “comfortable walking shoe” is pedestrian no more.
