Alden Shoes – Plaza Extra Perf Wingtips (LSW & LSBH)

One of our most visually stimulating Alden models is now back in stock (and improved). Our Plaza Extra Perf Wingtip was a hit when we first released it back in 2006. Now, 4 years later we have them available again, this time in an upgraded burnished tan vegano calf with an oiled leather flex sole.

SOLD OUT!

  1. Tom,

These are lovely, lovely shoes! Any plan of a shell makeup in the future?

  2. Beautiful! Too bad my feets too big!!!

  3. Sri,

I’ve seen them in shell before and honestly, it doesn’t look that great. I think burnished calfskin really adds so much to this design. We also did it in suede in the past and although it looked nice, it was no where as nice as this version in burnished tan vegano.

    Aloha,

    Tom

  4. Joe,

    What size are you?

    Tom

  5. I love the Plaza last, and the leather is beautiful – but that is little too much perf for my tastes!

  6. Do Yo Have a pair of the new Aldens with the extra perfs in a 10.5 D? I would like to purchase such. – Regards – Robert Craig

  7. I just can’t get enough of the oiled flex welt sole. It really grows on you.

  8. Robert,

We should have a 10.5D at LSBH. Please feel free to call Bryan or send him an email. (310)248-2399, bryan@lsfootwear.com

  9. hi, could someone please tell me the difference between a barrie last and a plaza last? thanks

p.s. – these shoes look pretty sweet! unfortunately i am a sz 6 in alden shoes 🙁

    – nate

    • Nate,

The Barrie is a large volume, neutral fitting, round toe last. The Plaza has a narrower mid foot area and is a slightly squared toe.

If you aren’t familiar with the lasts, it’s always best to buy your first few pair in person where you can see them and try them on.

      Aloha,

      Tom

  10. wow! thanks tom for such a quick response. i have a pair of shell cordovan plain toe bluchers barrie last in sz 6D and they fit me perfectly. since you say that the plaza last is narrower do you think i would be able to fit into a sz 7? and lastly, the color of my shoes is ravello. would you say that its a similar color to these tan vegano shoes? (i know that mine are shell and these are calfskin)

  11. Tom,

I agree with you – the more I look at these shoes, the more I like them. I may have to break my no-shoe-till-december for these!

  12. Nate,

7D may work but there is a possibility it will be slightly big.

Yes, they are similar to ravello shell in color.

    Aloha,

    Tom

  13. Tom,

Can you save me a 10.5 until Monday when I will be able to call in and complete the order?

  14. hi tom, the last time you told me to get measured up with a bronock device(something like that), i did and i’m a US10E. what would i need in these?

    thanks!

  15. Dylon,

If you were measured on the Brannock Device as a 10E, I would recommend a 10E for these. Unfortunately we did not order E widths so 10.5D would be your only choice.

    Aloha,

    Tom

  16. I find a pair of LS Plaza Aldens I have are my most comfortable shoes. I am usually 10.5E/11E and the Plaza in 11D has been just right.

I am thinking about these . Will they be available for long?

    Cheers

    Mike

  17. Mike,

We are actually sold out at Waikiki but may have it at Beverly Hills. Honestly, our shoes don’t stay in stock long so if you’re interested please give Bryan at LSBH a call or shoot him an email soon!

    Aloha,

    Tom

  18. Tom,

    Jeff

  19. Jeff,

    Sorry, no.

    Aloha,

    Tom

  20. Tom,

I called your shop last week. I am looking for a narrower fitting shoe and striking out…any suggestions? Thanks.

    When measured, I am a 9D/C

    Thanks.

    Jeff

  21. Jeff,

We carry D widths in Aldens and UK D widths (narrow fitting US D) in Edward Green shoes at LSBH. If you need a US C width, your only option would be a special order. We offer special order (preorder) Aldens about once a month on our website. For our British shoes we can take special orders anytime. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call personally at LSW.

    Aloha,

    Tom
