      We have pre-orders about once a month to give people the opportunity to pre-order non-stocked sizes. Please check back to our website about 2-3 times a month and you should see the pre-order notice, just search preorder in the search box on the top left of the page.

    Yes, the Kudu is a Horween leather. We are out of 11.5D but have 12D available.

    How does this leather differ from the oiled nubuck on my Vintage Indy’s?

      Timm,

      The kudu leather is much more oily and doesn’t have a slight nap like the oiled nubuck does. Also, the color is a little darker.

    Dangit, I still haven’t gotten sized for an Alden boot. Not sure if I’ll fit in an Alden 12D.

    Guess I’ll have to wait till the next round. I’ll be sure to get sized at LSBH when I’m out there next month.

    According to that picture you are an E or EE, not a B.

    Are you sure you were measured correctly?

    If you are a 10E Brannock, I would suggest a 9.5E or 10D in these. We do not have those sizes in stock unfortunately.

    I wear a size 11D in your Alden Hampton PT Blucher. I think that every size I might wear for this (11D, 10.5D, 10D) is sold out; correct? I’ll be waiting to jump on the next order (if there is one)!

    Can you please email me the upcoming schedule of your Indy Boot orders? I am looking at various iterations and need to determine which one I would want based on your schedule. Mainly looking at the Kudu, Vintage, Ultimate, and #8 Cordovan versions in that order. However, your lead times may sway me in a different direction of which style. Thanks!

      Yes we will have these again soon but not in B widths. B widths must be special ordered since we only stock Ds mostly and occasionally Es and Cs. Please look out for our preorder notices on our website if you are interested.

    Hello Tom,

    I have the Alden 203 (TruBalance Last) in 10.5 B, and they fit great. Actually the label inside says AA/B. I think that this means toe and heal size.

    However, I’m uncertain if the sizing would carry over to these boots. Do you know if the TruBalance Last sizing is consistent across Alden’s Products, i.e., are there variations in last sizing for different models of boots and shoes.

    If I special ordered these I would like be sure of this info.

    Are these available in 10D or maybe C? Tried on a pair of the Chromexels in 10.5D and they felt too wide and long. Like the color pattern of this style better…

    I have and love these boots. Do you have any recommendation for their cleaning and up-keep? Plastic brush and follow with mink oil?

      Glad you like them! Not much to do. The kudu is so oily and rugged I’d just wipe them down with a damp cloth. You could use an oil like Neets. That is what Horween recommends.

    Can you briefly help me understand sizing? I have read that TruBalance runs 1/2 size small. Is this as simple as 1/2 size below my Brannock measurement?

    I appreciate the help; it’s maddening to order things like this online without being able stick your foot in them in advance.
