Alden Shoes – CXL Pitt Boots (LSW & LSBH)

In anticipation for Leather Soul Beverly Hills’ first anniversary on July 1st, we present a new version of the boot that we think defines LSBH, the Pitt Boot. Our newest version is made with Horween brown and natural chromexcel (CXL).

Standard Pitt Boot features include a regular welt, antique edgetrim, double oiled waterlock leather sole, and a vintage inspired Goodyear rubber heel.

    These are way cool!!! If I didn’t have the Snuff Suede PT Boot on pre-order I might have had to go with these. I look at your site every week like it’s Christmas — hoping to see a new style each time I check the site. Keep up the great work!!

    Kevin,

    All Aldens (except the Cape Cod line) are goodyear welted. These are no exception. (These boots are indeed goodyear welted.)

    Beautiful boots! Instant classics. Tom, I’m on the LSBH order for the Ultimate Indy with double oiled leather sole and have already paid in full for them. I happen to like these a lot more – is it possible to swap for this style instead? Please email and let me know!

    These are bar none one of the best alden boots i have ever seen in my life. If the natural lighter leather had the stitched toe of the indy i would buy them in a heartbeat.

    Tom, thank you! I’ve just received these in the mail and immediately I understand the fascination with CXL. It’s a lovely leather. However, upon unboxing them, I noticed a couple of minor issues I’ve not encountered on any other Aldens I own:

    1. On the left shoe the welt stitching at one point appears to “miss” a stitch or two – though I’m not sure what difference this will make.

    2. On both shoes, though to a greater degree on the right shoe, there is what appears to be a puncture hole extending through to be visible on the inside of the shoe on the back stitching at the heel counter – I’m not sure why this is, and haven’t seen it before.

    Are these to be expected, Tom?

    Tarang,

    1) Please send me a picture of this and I will let you know what I think.

    2) Every Alden has that hole. That hole is from the tack that is used to tack the upper to the last during the shoe making process. It’s more visible on some shoes versus others but if you look closely you’ll find it on every shoe.
