We recently received a very special Edward Green MTO for our friend GW, aka GuidoWongolini. This Oundle is already special, being made with cognac CRUP (shell cordovan). However, it is also made to Top Drawer standards, which takes it out of this atmosphere. It’s the first time we’ve ever done a shell cordovan Top Drawer shoe. Simply amazing shoe.

The highlight of our expansion will be our scotch bar, stocked with almost 100 bottle of various scotches, whiskeys, bourbons, and ryes courtesy of SWAM (Shiroma’s Wine and More).
We will be introducing the “LS Club” shortly, a member’s only club with perks such as free gifts, services, and most importantly scotch, wine, and beer tastings throughout the year. Membership will be limited and initially only available to invited Hawaii residents.
I’m looking forward to working with Jill Shiroma, owner of SWAM, and of course, the scotch.

Here’s a couple more vintage Rolex watches from my friend David. The one on the left is a “Red Sub” and the one on the right is a Sub with an Explorer dial. Both are quite rare and collectable, however the Explorer dial Sub is something really special. This is the first time I’ve seen this in the flesh and I must say, it’s pretty cool.

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Tokyo was visiting the Union Works factory in Kanagawa. It was an amazing experience, especially when Sakurai-San, the Technical Manager, showed us his skills by attaching a new sole to an existing welt.

I travel to Japan 2-3 times a year and always make it a point to visit Hong Kong as well. Custom dress shirts from Peter Lee, suits and ties from the Armoury, and roast pork and drinks with friends make the 4 hour plane ride well worth it.
Here I’m pictured with “internet celebrities” Alan, Ethan, and Graeme. Three men of honor and amazing sartorial genius.

Sorry for all the Nike posts but as you can see I was a “sneakerhead” long before I was introduced to Aldens and Edward Greens.
Nike’s NIKEiD program was one of, if not the first MTO program for sneakers. Ever since its inception in 1999, I’ve been waiting for them to release a tennis shoe. Finally in 2011, they did and I made sure to order a pair on the first day they released.
The coolest part of my shoes are that my son and daughter’s names are embroidered on the heels but my wife doesn’t like me to show the internet that kind of info ha ha.

I’ve never liked shoes with kilties until I saw this shoe worn right. This Saint Crispin’s #545 on the classic last was a special MTO for a very good customer of ours. I can envision someone wearing a nice tailored dress shirt with knit tie, sports jacket, slim fitting chinos with 2″ cuffs, and these…it would make a great Spring outfit.

I have been in love with Alden’s lady calf flex welt series ever since I was first introduced to it back in 2004. The butter soft calfskin coupled with the softer flex insole and oiled flex outsole make for an unbeatable comfort level. Since then, I’ve ordered many different variations of lady calf with flex welt shoes and boots and every single one has been a hit.
Today I’m wearing the black flex longwing. I changed out the laces to match the antique edgetrim. I think it makes for a nice casual look. My jeans today are RRL slim fits in grey, a recent sale pickup from the Beverly Hills boutique, regular price $360 down to a steal at $108! Japanese denim, made in the USA, a great combo.
