My First SCs

I’ve been wanting a pair for about 5 years now and finally got one, the 105 wingtip in “blackish brown” crust leather on the chiseled last. They really are amazingly beautiful in person.

The fit is very nice as well.  I take a 9F Edward Green 202 and 606, 9E Barrie last, 8.5EE John Lobb 7000 last.  I ordered 8.5G and they fit perfectly.  The support throughout the waist and heel is sublime.  Somehow, it really does feel like a hand made shoe.

Luggage Straps

Ever since I first visited China about 6 years ago, my eyes have been opened to the endless opportunities available for manufacturing in China.

Since then, I have ordered custom paper bags, socks, boxes, and other random products.  I’ve even started another company, Hawaii PaperWorks, a wholesaler of paper products for retailers.

If you have any interest in Chinese manufacturing, or even just curious about how “stuff gets made,” I highly recommend visiting China and exploring the abundant opportunities. The food aint bad either.

SCs Arriving!

When I first saw Saint Crispin’s shoes in Tokyo about 5 years ago I immediately fell in love.  The shape of their lasts, the beautiful finishing, and the genuine hand made nature really left me in awe.  Since then, I wanted to stock them but didn’t think the timing was right.

Recently, through a Style Forum friend, I was introduced to Phillip Car and the rest is history.  Mahalo EC and Phillip!  We are all very excited to represent Saint Crispin’s!
