Our first collaboration with another retail store is about to hit shelves at Self Edge and Leather Soul on Saturday, February 18.
To me, this is a monumental step in men’s retail. I look forward to doing more of this in the future but for now am excited and privileged to work with my friend Kiya on this special collaboration.

I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend in San Francisco with the main purpose of watching the 49ers play the Saints in the NFL playoffs. Little did I know that I would experience one of the greatest games in recent NFL history!
The non-football highlight of my short two night trip was hanging out with my friend Kiya, owner of Self Edge. We started out with an amazing cup of coffee at Four Barrel, like no coffee I’ve ever tasted. Then we stopped at Taylor Stitch next door where one of the owners, Mike, measured me up for a bunch of custom dress shirts made with Japanese fabrics. The night ended up with some Pappy Van Winkle 20 year and great food and company at Foreign Cinema with Mr. and Mrs. Self Edge.

Preview pics of our upcoming Leather Soul x Self Edge collaboration Alden boots have been surfacing around the internet so I guess it’s time to join in on the fun.

This is a one time limited release. 100 pairs were made in black regina grain calf and 100 pairs in Horween natural chromexcel.

The big news of the day is Hawaiian Airline’s announcement that they will be adding a HNL-JFK non stop flight starting June 2012. This is great news for me and my family. It gives me a better option for visiting friends and business partners in NYC as well as a much easier option for visiting the Alden factory in Massachusetts. It also makes it easier for my family in NY to visit Hawaii.
Intro rates in June are about $200 economy and $800 first class one-way. LSW has never been closer or cheaper to get to from the East Coast! We await your visit!
