Our owner Tom has a personal relationship with the city of Kobe, Japan. He spent a school year there studying abroad as a university student. It was also there where he met his wife Lori (who was also studying abroad on the same program).
His experiences in Japan ultimately lead him to appreciate fine men’s shoes and eventually open Leather Soul in 2004. Today he is a proud friend and business partner with Koji Suzuki of Spigola and now with Naoki and Tomoko Nakagawa of Nackymade, who all hail from Kobe.
